Our Staff & Deacon Board
Pastor Mark was born and raised in Oshkosh, WI. Until the age of 16 he went weekly to St. John’s Catholic Church. Then on December 30 of his junior year in high school, a pastor (later to become his father-in-law) came to his house and explained the gospel to his family. That afternoon, Mark, his father, and his three siblings all prayed expressing their sinfulness and putting faith in Jesus Christ for salvation (his mother was already a Christian). From that point on, the family joined Southside Baptist Church (now called Wyldewood Baptist Church). Upon graduation, Mark enrolled in Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO to prepare for ministry.
The Lord has faithfully and graciously provided several ministry opportunities beginning as a youth pastor in Sheboygan, WI. Ten years were spent in Quincy, IL as a youth pastor and Christian school teacher. During that time, he became the school administrator while continuing to teach high school classes. That pattern continued for seventeen years at Faith Christian School in Colemen, WI. After a four-year stint at Northland Baptist Bible College in Dunbar, WI he was blessed to be the middle school coordinator and teacher at Santiago Christian School in the Dominican Republic for two years. Upon returning to the States, Mark was the administrator and high school teacher at Romeoville Christian School in Romeoville, IL for five years.
In 2017 the Lord brought a ministry shift by allowing Mark to become an associate pastor at Harvest Community Church in Oak Creek, WI. Five years later, Brookside Baptist Church accepted him as one of the associate pastors.
His college degrees are ThG (Graduate of Theology) from Baptist Bible College, BA in Bible from Northland Baptist Bible College, and MMin (Master of Ministry) from Northland International University.
He served as Director of Development at Northland International University.
Mark served the Wisconsin Association of Christian Schools as a board member and president.
He served seven terms as Municipal Judge in the Village of Coleman.
Mark met his wife Naomi in Kindergarten. They were married during their college years in Springfield, MO. They are blessed with four married children and fifteen grandchildren.
